There are fruits with names that start with J found in many parts of the world. They comprise berries, cherries, cones, and pods. Other fruits starting with j include the delicious jaboticaba, jackfruit, jamberry, jambul, and the Japanese persimmon. More sweet fruits that start with the letter j are the jatoba, jelly palm, the jocote, and juneberry. And the jostaberry, juniper berry, the sweet jungles, and jujube too.

1.Jaboticaba Fruit
Jaboticaba is a grape-like fruit with dark skin mostly grown in Brazil. The jaboticaba tree is small and bushy, with many branches growing near the ground. Jaboticaba fruits grow from the branches rather than the tips. You can eat the fruits with or without their skin directly after picking. Jaboticaba is eaten raw. It also makes jam, juice, jellies, and marmalades. You ferment it to make wine and liquor. The jaboticaba fruit juice takes four days to start fermenting, so you should use it within that period. 2.Jackfruit
The jackfruit grows naturally in the south and southwest Asia. It is a large fruit with a light green rough skin, sweet yellowish flesh, edible seeds, and pods. Eat it raw, both ripe and unripe. You can also eat it when cooked. If you want a chicken or pork meat taste in your diet, the jackfruit gives you that. 3.Jamberry Fruit
This j fruit grows from herbal bushy shrubs resembling the tomato, but the tree branches and stem are stiffer. The fruit berries are small and ripen to yellow, light green, and orange colors. The jam berries grow in the wild in warm tropical areas, but they are planted commercially in some areas. Other names for the fruit include golden berries, gooseberries, and ground berries. 3.The Jambul Fruit
The jambul is a small grape-sized fruit that grows in the summer and many tropical regions. The jambul tree is large and tall with many branches. The jambul berry is eaten raw but also makes juice, sauce, and jam. Its small seeds are also used for medicinal purposes when ground into powder. 4.Japanese Persimmon Fruit
The persimmon fruit is native to Japan but also grows in similar climates across the world. The Japanese persimmon fruit has many shapes, from round, conical, and square. It grows from deciduous, broad-leafed trees with several branches. The persimmons are usually green, yellow, orange, or reddish-brown. 5.Jatoba Fruit
The jatoba grows in the humid tropics of Brazil and the Caribbean. It is called the West Indian or the stinking toe fruit. The stinking toe tree produces jatoba fruit. The jatoba fruit has brown toe-shaped pods that smell when broken. Of all the fruits that start with the letter j, the jatoba fruit stinks, but it’s quite sweet and delicious once you break the pod. 6.Jelly Palm or Pindo Fruit

7. The Jocote Fruit
This j fruit with many varieties grows naturally in Central America and many tropical regions around the world. It’s also named Jamaica plum. Jocote fruit is from the jocote tree that grows to about 25 feet tall in the wild. The jocote fruit is orange to red and is fleshy, delicious, and tart. Its seeds have a sweet and sour taste. 8.Jostaberry Fruit
The jostaberries fruits survive in cooler climates. They grow as bushy trees that are a cross of blackcurrant and gooseberry. The jostaberry fruits grow in clusters and are plucked when blue-black. 9. Junglesop Fruit

10. Juneberry Fruit
Juneberries or serviceberries grow from tree shrubs in the US and the Canadian prairies. They also grow worldwide. The berries ripen from June, hence the name juneberries. 11.Juniper Berry
The juniper fruit with a j name is a cone berry borne by junipers. The juniper shrub grows in several areas and produces deep blueberries. The juniper berries have a strong scent and are bitter. You can use juniper fruits in food flavoring, preservation, and cooking. Figure 12. Juniper Berry Fruit
12. Jujube Fruit
Jujubes are also known as the Chinese dates. The jujube grows on bushy tree shrubs in Southern Asia and many parts of the world. The fruits are sweet, like the apples if you eat them raw. But you remove the two seeds before eating them. The jujubes are small oval-shaped and get wrinkled as they keep ripening.
